Time is fast approaching, at end of this year we’ll be crowning again our Marathon King and Queen. Last year’s strongest were Joerge Andrade and Mary Joy Tabal. Andrade, a newbie marathoner from Digos City and Tabal our very first Filipina Olympian from Cebu City.
Recently, Andrade shined during Borneo International Marathon by clocking two hours, 54 minutes and 14 seconds against his competitors from Kenya, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei. While Tabal proven once more by winning 23rd Jeju International Tourism Marathon half distance with time of one hour, 18 minutes and 44 seconds.
To qualify; To secure your slot for the finals make sure to qualify first in the regional or provincial qualifying races nationwide or in Metro Manila elimination (42 kilometers). For regional or provincial races, 21 Kilometer is your first step to obtain 42 k slot in the finals. Off course, should you aware of cut off times by age and category.

Finals: SUB6, no finisher’s medal for runners unable to cross the finish line in 6 hours or less. Be proud that you’ve come up to this stage, These runners are among the best from provincial elimination and you’re blessed to be one of them, so be at your best time. Podiums and or top 10 are awarded with trophy, medal and cash. Plus an opportunity to represent the country in selected top marathon events in the world.
